Learning Research Network

Meeting the needs of all Catholic Schools

RESEARCH-BASED

Professional Learning

Professional Learning

We thrive on engaging, supporting, and working with educators to enhance instructional, social-emotional, and behavioral practices. From kick-off events to after-school activities, our focus is on inclusive learning through topics like Universal Design for Learning and data-driven interventions.

Keynotes & Workshops

Our keynotes and workshops, designed for schools, dioceses, and stakeholders, provide a foundation, demonstrate possibilities, and foster engagement in meaningful inclusion. These sessions are engaging, heartfelt, and amusing, drawing on personal and professional connections to the world of disabilities.

Program Evaluation & Needs Assessment

Knowing how to best support meaningful inclusion starts with capturing snap-shots of current practices and gathering data. We observe classroom practice, interview key stakeholders, and analyze the collected information to better understand specific needs. This enables us to provide recommendations that address short- and long-term goals, impacting all learners.

Coaching

Personalized, timely support for educators and school leaders is vital for promoting meaningful inclusion efforts. We offer face-to-face and virtual coaching for individuals or small groups to identify relevant, achievable goals and develop context-specific action plans. Additionally, we provide data analysis support to ensure goal attainment.

Meaningful inclusion is not a place. It is a learning experience that focuses on the entire child and his/her development needs within the general education classroom.

– The LRN

Working with Sean and Micheal (LRN) has been an amazing experience. It is clear that they possess a vision and outlook that are both expansive as well as supportive of the needs of individual teachers and educational leaders.

– Dr. Adam Bigbee, Dean of Exceptional Learning

LRN professional learning sessions include the best elements of differentiation and learner variability in a Catholic environment. Sean and Michael truly understand the nuances of UDL and convey them in a manner that is easily understood by even the most reluctant learners.

– Laura Swenson, Head of School

[The LRN] have demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and patience as they have helped us to develop ways to deepen our awareness of learner variability, Universal Design, and the dignity of the human person.

– Dr. Adam Bigbee, Dean of Exceptional Learning

We are excited that our journey with LRN has only just begun.
