Our Mission
What We Stand For
Our mission is to support the overall growth and development for ALL individuals through meaningful inclusion in the K-12 Catholic educational experience. We operationalize these efforts through research and practice activities intended to improve outcomes and the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, their families, and the educators who work with them.
Catholic Teaching
Toward this end, our work is aligned to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching that foster:
- consistent ethic of life in which Catholic schools facilitate human dignity through meaningful inclusion (rather than exclusion and segregation) as part of the One Body.
- the right of all to participate in the Catholic community, facilitating access to the community through inclusion in Catholic schools as a mandate, not an optional add-on.
- seeking the common good by ensuring human rights are protected through transparent, fair, and equitable policies.
- treating those at the margins with dignity by disrupting structures that perpetuate marginalization and reaching out to include them in our schools.
